Athena Bronze Sculpture

I have always been interested in Classical culture, and Greek Mythology. This sculpture began as idle sketches over a year ago which lead to a couple different Athena based projects.

Aside from the sketches, this sculpture was the culmination of two month’s work, figure drawing, creating a clay model, making a silicone mold, chasing a wax model and adding sprues and ventilation, creating a ceramic shell mold and finally casting the bronze itself.
